Anya Jensen
Head Coach/Mentor
US Engineering Dean

Ms Jensen joined Santa Catalina in 2025 as our full time Engineering Dean a major part of whose duties include being the Head Coach and Mentor for our FIRST Robotics team.

She has been involved with the FIRST Robotics Competition since her early high school days and was founder of another girls-only robotics team, 6418 the Missfits, in San Francisco in her senior year. She’s an Engineering graduate from the prestigious Olin College of Engineering and taught engineering in middle school before working as an engineer at Collins Aerospace. As the saying goes, there’s no exit strategy from FIRST Robotics she is excited to return to her roots with us.

Ned Stork
Director of Engineering

Mr. Stork has taught mathematics at Santa Catalina for 20 years, and two years ago was appointed Dean of Academics and Director of Engineering. Mr. Stork has developed an engineering curriculum so that all Santa Catalina students have the opportunity to engage in meaningful engineering education, activities and design challenges. Before becoming a teacher, Mr. Stork worked as a structural engineer for EQE, International in San Francsicso and Ove Arup & Partners in London.

Dale Yocum
Mentor

Mr. Yocum was our temporary head coach/mentor for both the 2024 and 2025 seasons to get the program restarted and now helps us remotely since his home is in Portland. Now in his 21st season of FIRST Robotics, he started and led the highly respected robotics team at Catlin Gabel school, 1540 the Flaming Chickens, for 18 years. His skills range from mechanical engineering to fabrication to electrical and software.

Previously Mr. Yocum had a long career in high tech management, finally as founder and CEO of Clientele software.
